Second Level in the Space Game

Space Build 5_Data

Second level has been completed and added, along with the first power source you find. You cant pick up as of yet because there isn’t a third level attached to the trigger. The second level itself is a jumping puzzle. Lets see if you can solve it.

Questions:

What do you think of the improved animations? (Left idle, etc)

What would you suggest I add for puzzles later on in the game?

What do you think of the progression in level design?

Animation Tutorial

Below are pictures to my process in creating sprite animations in unity with captions to help you step by step. I made my sprites in adobe illustrator and photoshop. Keep in mind that you need to save copies of the files as illustrator, photoshop, and .png files just in case you need to edit, or reuse the files. Click on the photos for a full view of the screen.

Second Game Beta

Space Build 3

This is my second space build.

Controls are the left, right, and up arrows

Keep in mind that this is a puzzle game, so the exit may be hard to get to.

Also there are no deaths, respawns, or exits as of now because I am currently working on them.

Questions:

  • What do you think about the new stability of the game, and animations?
  • How could I make the game a bit more fluid besides an intro screen and tutorial?
  • What was the hardest thing about the room?
  • Was it to hard to figure out for a first attempt?

Clean Energy

There weren’t very many  things that I was able to find that related my project out there on the web; which is promising, but also a bit of a letdown. However, I was able to find one article on the Forbes website about a game called “Path to Luma”. This game is about a robot that travels to abandoned planets in search for life giving forces, and hidden clean energy sources.
